Multiple Measures of Readiness in California Community Colleges

Primary Researchers: Kathy Bracco, Rachel Lagunoff

The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office has convened a Multiple Measures work group to develop a resource document on effective multiple measures and their application in the student assessment and placement process. They intend to conduct a survey of the California Community Colleges to get baseline information about the multiple measures currently used to assess student readiness for coursework across the decentralized community college system.

REL West is advising on the design of the survey, with a focus on technical adequacy and comprehensiveness, and will prepare a descriptive report of the results of the survey.
